Payment Options

We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Switch and Delta through on-line payment services including NoChex and Paypal.

NoChex is limited to UK buyers only for amounts under £100. It offers a secure transaction service and you do not have to sign up for an account with them to pay immediately. You also have the full protection of your card issuer, who manages the payment to NoChex.

Paypal offers a similar service, but you will have to sign up for an account before you try to buy from the shop. For UK, US or Canadian buyers, if your total is over £20, we will only accept payment from CONFIRMED paypal addresses. Please send payment in UK pounds sterling not local currency if you are outside the UK.

Cash can be posted in pounds sterling, euros or US dollars but you MUST send it using an insured postal service as we cannot take responsibility for loss or theft in the mail. Please contact us for currency conversion rates before sending euros or dollars.

UK buyers can send postal orders or cheques, made payable to Heroes Assemble Ltd, and post to our shop address at Heroes Assemble Ltd, 4 Palmer Street, Frome, Somerset, BA11 1DS.

We do NOT accept foreign checks or money orders due to the high bank charges for cashing them.

Payment for orders over £250 should be made by cheque, postal order or direct bank transfer for all buyers. If you wish to arrange a bank transfer, please contact us for details once you have placed your order.

Shipping

We normally process orders within 2 working days of receiving an order with cleared payment. If you require an URGENT next day delivery in the UK, we will try to accommodate you but please telephone us at the time of ordering to ensure that your order is in stock and that you are in time as our post is collected only once each working day by the Royal Mail. Please note that the Royal Mail does not guarantee to deliver Special Delivery items on a Saturday when  they are posted on a Friday. We are not responsible for the service provided by the Royal Mail.

All shipments are securely packaged to protect the books in the mail and sent via an insured postal service. Smaller quantities are sent with stiff purpose made oversized corrugated cardboard mailers. Larger items, CGC comics or quantities of comics are sent boxed with bubble wrap or polystyrene chips for extra protection.

You can select different shipping options at the checkout phase. Please note that the Subscriptions ONLY shipping option is only for orders which contain Comic Subscriptions only and not other items. Other comics, books or supplies etc. should be placed on a separate order.

For UK buyers, we recommend the following:

- About 10-25 comics - select Royal Mail standard parcels for orders weighing 1.5kg - 4kg.
- High value items over £30 - select Royal Mail Special Delivery Next Day which offers insurance of up to £500 and next working day delivery.
- Comic supplies - select UK Courier if you order more than 3 boxes and/or more than 1 set of boards.

Please note that our postage calculation system cannot cope with all of the different permutations so if you select a postal service which does not provide sufficient insurance cover for your order, we will have to invoice you for the balance as we cannot risk high value items being lost or damaged in the mail.

For non-UK buyers, items will be sent by Insured Airmail using the Royal Mail International Signed For Service. This can be tracked and USPS also recognise the references for US deliveries. Please note that this can get expensive for parcels weighing over 2kg, and therefore comic boxes or boards cannot be cost effectively shipped outside the UK. It is also limited to 5kg in weight (except Canada which is limited to just 2kg). For larger volumes, we use couriers but please contact us before buying so that you are aware of the costs in advance.

In the unlikely event that there is any problem with damage in shipment or a lost delivery please contact us at the above email address. If the packaging has been opened or damaged, please retain it and sent a digital photo of the damage so that we can make an insurance claim. Refunds for loss or damage will be dependent on the Royal Mail processing a claim. We will do everything to help but cannot guarantee how quickly they will process a claim.
