Amazing Spider-man Comics (1963 Series)
Amazing Spider-man comics were created by Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko of Marvel Comics and first appeared in Amazing Fantasy #15 comic in 1962. Following the success of this appearence, Amazing Spider-man #1 was published in 1963 and has run ever since. Spider-man, alias Peter Parker, is a student bitten by a radioactive spider and develops special powers and can climb walls. Through teenage angst, Peter learns that "With great power, comes great responsibility". Silver age comics featuring Spider-man were drawn by Ditko, who was then replaced by John Romita Sr. in 1966 and continued on the Spider-man bronze age comics until 1970.
