The Reaper is a winged gargoyle creature with scythe-like tail. The Reapers lived in the Time Vortex and survived as temporal predators, feasting on paradoxes and other disturbances in time like bacteria taking advantage of a wound. There was no known way to harm them – only fixing the paradox could remove them from the timestream.

This Reaper Figurine captures the creature as seen in the Ninth Doctor's adventure "Father’s Day" (2005). This multi-limbed, flying creature has sharp teeth both in the form of a beak and a second mouth in its torso.
