PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Tales To Astonish #39 (1963) CGC 6.5 Signature Series comic book from Marvel comics, which is signed by the following:

Stan Lee - the late Marvel Comics Legend, the issue's writer and co-creator of Ant-Man!

Larry Lieber - Stan Lee's brother, co-writer of the issue and co-creator of Ant-Man.

Dick Ayers - the late Silver Age inker on Jack Kirby's cover pencils on this issue.

This extremely rare example has multiple signatures - no other copy has sold with more than a single Stan Lee signature. There are only 4 higher graded CGC Signature Series examples in the world, all believed to have just one signature.

It features Stan Lee and Larry Lieber stories, Steve Ditko and Don Heck art, and Jack Kirby and Dick Ayers cover and art.

CGC Key Comments - 1st appearance of the Scarlet Beetle.

It has been professionally graded by CGC, the largest independent comic grading company in the world, and slabbed in a sealed protective case.

The grade is guaranteed to be mid to high grade 6.5 (FINE+), with no restoration. This is a yellow label CGC Signature Series, which means that an authorised CGC representative witnessed the signings and this also acts as a Certificate Of Authenticity. As soon as the comic is signed, it is removed by a CGC authorised party and submitted straight to CGC for grading and encapsulation, guaranteeing the authenticity of the signatures.

You can check the validity of this item and the signatures by entering the 10 digit number on the label at the CGC comics web-site.

There are no cracks on the case. Any glare is just the scanner on the outer CGC case, which can cause reflection.
